I have a prem in my hair and coming out bad what can I do to strip my and what can I use to help it to grow?

I use to wear a curl and doing the summer I give my hair a rest and wear braid well this time I had my hair dresser to put a prem on my hair and it started coming out and I can't seem to get my hair to stop breaking off I use Doo Gro do you know anything I can use to stop the breakage I am a black american what can I do
