I want to get my 8 month old baptized, but I was wondering, about a few things????

My husband and I were baptized together at Lancaster Baptist Church in Jan 2007. Our parents have a catholic background, he and I use to be catholic and grew up being catholic. So I don't know how christians baptize? Do they have godparents, because we do. My sister is christan but she is getting her twins baptized at a catholic church, so I am confused??? I want her to baptized soon... so if anyone can help me out with how I go about doing this would be great, we don't live by lancaster baptist church anymore, we live in Lake Elsinore, CA.
