Why do black men become ecstatic when they find out that a black woman is...?

Not 100% black, but mixed? Are they proud to be with black women that aren't 100% black because that is as close as they come to getting a white woman? Do they secretly want to be with white women? It's totally understandable, as white women are treasures and trophies to black men.
