Afghan attacks kill 8 US soldiers in 24 hours. Are they too tough to conquer?

You cant tell who the enemy is anymore, The Taliban are resorting to Al Qeada tactics of fighting by disguising as a civilian and attacking the enemy, they are getting out of control, once the U.S leaves Afganistan the country is going to fall into the hands of the Taliban, and Al qeada are going to feel safer to breed up more attacks on the U.S. Sri Lankas goverment wiped out a terrorist group called the Tamil Tigers in a matter of months. why cant the most powerfull nation in the world do the same to the Taliban?
