Why did christians kill people in the past forced them to convert?

they kicked the jews few years after jesus was killed .. they killed jews and muslims in spain n forced their kids to be christians they killed naiive indians when they first found America. the black african christian king wanted to destory mecca with their holy wars . whats up with that?
